Both Halcyon MUN conferences rely heavily on Student Officers (Admins and Chairs) to run the conference, organise delegates, take attendance, and ensure debate proceedure is upheld. Student Officers are usually Halcyon students, however on occasion we may permit for students from a visiting academic institution to take on the role of a visiting Chair for example.

If you are from a visiting academic institution and would like to partake as a council Chair, we suggest you register your interest as a via your school’s MUN club, well before visiting our conference.

Student Officers are hired exclusively for the conference. They are not affiliated with the organization of the MUN club or conferences. Student Officers undergo a rigorous selection andtraining process to ensure they are fit for the position.

Important Notice:

If whilst attending a Halcyon MUN conference you witness a Student Officer failing to uphold the rules of procedure or violating any of the policies stated in the Delegate Handbook, please contact a member of staff or a member of the Board of Directors.

All reports are anonymous.
